The Arts Section 01/08/17

January 8th, 2017

On this edition of The Arts Section, host Gary Zidek talks to the award-winning composer and songwriter who created the music for LA LA LAND. Justin Hurwitz created over 1900 piano demos over the course of six years.  Gary had a great conversation with the ambitious new artistic director of American Theatre Company, Will Davis.  WDCB’s Leslie Kerros pays tribute to the late blues pianist Barrelhouse Chuck.  Gary sat down with Pulitizer Prize winning poet Tracy K. Smith. And one half of the Dueling Critics, Kelly Kleiman, will stop by to talk about Steppenwolf’s latest production.
