The Arts Section 12/23/18

On this edition of The Arts Section, host Gary Zidek gets festive. Chicago-based musician S. Joel Norman stopped by WDCB for an in-studio performance of some classic and original holiday songs. Gary also chatted with the northwest Indiana native. Gary also caught up with music producer and WDCB program host Steve Rashid who is the music director for the Practical Theatre Company. The Evanston-based company will be presenting two live comedy in the form of an old-time radio program. Both performances will be recorded, and will air at a later date on WDCB. Speaking of theatre, the Dueling Critics, Kelly Kleiman and Jonathan Abarbanel, stop by to review a new comedic musical titled BOOK OF MERMAN. And Gary visits one of Chicago’s most popular holiday pop-ups, Santa Baby. The Lakeview neighborhood spot goes the extra mile to give visitors a true holly jolly experience.
