FIrst, Gary sits down with festival founder and retiring CEO Michael Kutza, for a conversation about the history of the fest. Then, an interview with Mimi Plauche, the festival’s artistic director. The 54th edition of the festival starts 10/10/18. Next, Gary talks to writer/producer Dan Andries about a new four-part documentary series titled ART & DESIGN IN CHICAGO that will air on WTTW. The Dueling Critics stop by to review Chicago Shakespeare’s American premiere of Nell Gwynn. A little later, Gary visits one of the true authentic South American restaurants in Chicago, Taste of Peru. The Peruvian eatery is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. And wrapping up the show, Gary chats with artist Sheri Smith about her work drawing jazz artists.
