The Arts Section 09/30/18
September 30th, 2018
On this edition of The Arts Section, host Gary Zidek talks to the curators behind a new comprehensive exhibition that looks at the legacy of Millie and Morton Goldsholl. The Chicago-area husband and wife team created a design firm that was a pioneer on several levels. Hear all about the exhibit, Up is Down: Mid-century Experiments in Advertising and Film at the Goldsholl Studio, which just opened at Northwestern University’s Block Museum of Art. A little later in the program, Gary sits down with Plate Magazine senior editor Amy Cavanaugh to talk about the new Chicago restaurants she’s most excited about. The Dueling Critics, Kelly Kleiman and Jonathan Abarbanel, stop by to review Marriott Theatre’s new production of SWEET CHARITY. Gary puts a spotlight on the radio show, AFTERGLOW, which will be joining the WDCB family this month. And Gary revisits his conversation with author Danielle Postel-Vinay.
