WDCB announces special NYE programming!

WDCB is pleased to announce its New Year’s Eve line-up!

On Wed. Dec. 31, WDCB will broadcast its normally scheduled DCB Jazz from 6am to 7pm. At 7pm we will present programming specially-selected for the New Year, including:

Wednesday, January 31
7pm: Marian McPartland’s Piano Jazz guest Michel Petrucciani

8pm: Night Lights “The Jade Bass - A Tribute to Scott LaFaro”

9pm to 11pm: Chicago Jazz Spotlight – “New Year’s Eve - Live in Chicago” …features two hours of highlights from many of WDCB’s own live, on-location events in 2014, including Ari Brown, Laurence Hobgood, Judy Roberts & Greg Fishman, Tammy McCann, Victor & Connie Parra’s Mambo Express Afro-Cuban Band, and more. Just like WDCB, this program focuses on some of the best jazz Chicago has to offer the world!

11pm to 1am: “Jazz Fest 2014 Live! – Highlights from New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival” …includes the Treme Brass Band, Gregory Porter, New Orleans Nightcrawlers, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Rene Marie and more.

WDCB’s New Year’s Eve special programming continues with:
1am to 5am: A “Jazz After Hours” New Year’s special …a ‘fantasy club crawl’, "Jazz After Hours" brings listeners to some of the great jazz clubs across the country, without having to leave the comfort of their own homes.
