WDCB’s “Jazz Fest Week” live broadcasts kick off tonight!
WDCB 90.9FM and Maxwell Drums present six live radio broadcasts from the PianoForte Studios in Chicago and the Chicago Cultural Center during the week of the Chicago Jazz Festival. The simulcasts are generously sponsored by Steve Maxwell Vintage and Custom Drums!
In partnership with the Chicago Jazz Festival, PianoForte Foundation and Jazz Institute of Chicago, and as part of its “Jazz Fest Week Live Broadcasts” WDCB will simulcast all three of this year’s “PianoForte Sessions” taking place at 5:30pm

Also at PianoForte, WDCB will broadcast a live interview/performance with pianist Geoffrey Keezer from PianoForte on Saturday, August 30 at 10am. To open the final day of the Chicago Jazz Festival, on Sunday, August 31, the station will present its WDCB Jazz Fest Jazz Brunch which is free and open to the public. For this event, Laurence Hobgood will perform an hour-long solo piano concert at PianoForte from 10 – 11am, followed by a reception with bagels and coffee. Hobgood’s set will be simulcast on WDCB.

All six live events are open to the public, and are free of charge. However, because of limited space, advance registration for the PianoForte events is required. For the three events on Mon.
