The Arts Section 03/11/18

March 11th, 2018

On this edition of The Arts Section, host Gary Zidek gets ready for St. Patrick's Day with a visit to one of the Chicago area's premiere Irish dance studios.  Gary catches up with Natalie Howard, the owner/director of the Trinity Academy of Irish Dance.  The Academy's students will be performing at many of Chicago's most popular St. Patrick Day events. Looking for something a little different? Gary talks to Chicago-based Necromancer Neil Tobin about his new one-man show, NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE, which is being presented at the historic Rosehill Cemetery.  The Dueling Critics, Kelly Kleiman and Jonathan Abarbanel, stop by to review Lifeline Theatre's new adaptation of ANNA KARENINA. And later in the program, an up-close look at an archiving project aimed at preserving and promoting the history of three of Chicago's most popular nighttime destinations in the 50's and 60's (Mister Kelly's, London House & the Happy Medium). Gary sits down with the man leading the project, David Marianthal.  All that, plus the weekly Arts Section calendar on this editon of The Arts Section.
