The Arts Section 10/15/17

October 15th, 2017

On this edition of The Arts Section, host Gary Zidek talks to music historian about the legacy of Jean-Pierre Leloir.  The French photographer captured images from the biggest names in jazz during the 50's, 60's and 70's. Gary also takes a closer look at the Chicago International Film Festival, which just kicked off. He spoke with two directors who will be attending the fest with their new movies, CHASING THE BLUES, a Chicago-set comedy, and the new documentary, SAMMY DAVIS Jr.: I'VE GOTTA BE ME.  Also a review of the visually mesmerizing new animated film, LOVING VINCENT.  We’ll hear a little about the artistry of glass blowing. And the Dueling Critics stop by to review a world premiere play titled THE MAN BEAST.
