The Arts Section 11/06/16
November 6th, 2016
On this edition of The Arts Section, host Gary Zidek gets the story behind a new photo exhibit that captured a forgotten Ramones concert from 1980. The iconic punk band played at a suburban community college, and photographer Frank Jackowiak was there. Gary also sat down with trumpeter and composer Orbert Davis. His Chicago Jazz Philharmonic will debut a new program with two world premiere pieces later this week. WDCB's Brian O'Keefe talked to Chicago-based music writer Lloyd Sachs about his new T. Bone Burnett book. Gary caught up with one of the founders of the Chicago Comedy Film Festival, which is taking place in the Rogers Park neighborhood this year. And the Dueling Critics stop by with a review the hottest musical in town … HAMILTON.
