The Arts Section 12/16/18

On this edition of The Arts Section, host Gary Zidek sits down with members of the JuJu Exchange, Nico Segal (fka Donnie Trumpet) and Julian Reid, to talk about the group’s approach to making music and a world premiere that will debut at Fulcrum Point’s Peace in Chicago concert. In the second half of the program, Gary will highlight some creative arts and culture gift ideas. First,a look inside a hybrid arts space-slash-spirits boutique in the Logan Square neighborhood. Then, Gary leads a roundtable discussion focused on some gorgeous publications that emerged from the Art Design Chicago initiative. And later, Gary talks with the founder of Transit Tees. a local company that makes and sells products for those Chicagoans bursting with civic pride.
