The Arts Section 08/06/17

August 6th, 2017

On this edition of The Arts Section, host Gary Zidek looks back at the history of Chicago's Picasso sculpture. Gary talks to historian Paul Durica and Chicago DCASE commissioner Mark Kelly about the sculpture's 50th anniversary. Gary also profiles one of Chicago’s oldest summer festivals, the annual Ginza Holiday Fest was launched in 1955 to celebrate Japanese culture.  We’ll hear about a new exhibit at the Art Institute that looks back at the creative process of Paul Gauguin. The Dueling Critics will review the touring production of the broadway smash. AN AMERICAN IN PARIS. Plus, the weekly Arts Section calendar and a review of ATOMIC BLONDE.
