The Arts Section 11/08/15

November 9th, 2015

On this edition of The Arts Section, host Gary Zidek gets an up-close look at Chicago Human Rhythm Project's tap tribute to Billy Strayhorn.  The  dance company's perfromance is part of the Chicago's ongoing Billy Strayhorn festival. Gary also caught up the director of Lyric Opera's Lyric Unlimited initiative, Cayenne Harris. The outreach department is ramping up public engagement.  We’ll hear about actress Drew Barrymore’s recent visit to Naperville.  Plus, a conversation filmmaker Kay D. Ray.  Her documentary, Lady Be Good, profiles trailblazing women jazz instrumentalists.  Time Out Chicago restaurant and bar editor Amy Cavanaugh recommends her favorite new places to grab a cocktail. And the Dueling Critics will review a new play that explores how technology might influence authenticity in the future.
