Adult ESL and Citizenship Classes

Free GED Classes at COD

College of Du Page offers free classes for students interested in taking the GED test at the main campus in Glen Ellyn, and at the Bloomingdale, Naperville, and Westmont Regional Centers. Other flexible choices include online and Spanish options. A pre-test is required prior to enrolling. Fall semester registration for College of Du Page continues for both new and returning students. Classes for the 16 week session begin August 23rd, while 12 week session classes begin September 14th. High School - College Dual Credit at COD

College of Du Page offers Dual Credit with more than 20 area high schools where qualified students can enroll in select courses at the College, while earning both high school and college credit. Veteran's Affairs Office at COD

Professional Performance Season Tickets

The MAC is now selling season tickets for the Buffalo Theatre Ensemble and New Philharmonic – resident professional performing groups at College of Du Page. The BTE’s season opens in September with The Mystery of Irma Vep and the New Philharmonic’s in October with Peter and the Wolf. Many other exciting events will be held this year as the MAC celebrates its 25th anniversary season.

Chamber Orchestra welcomes new members

The College of Du Page Chamber Orchestra is welcoming new members for the fall. The group rehearses late Monday afternoons and will present 2 concerts at the MAC. Community Jazz Ensemble Welcomes New Members

The Du Page Community Jazz Ensemble welcomes new members for its 12th season of Great American Music. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings in the College of Du Page’s Mc Anich Arts Center and feature a combination of ensemble reading and improvisation. Both traditional students and community members are encouraged to join by registering for Music 1181, a one-credit course.

Prairie Light Review accepting submissions

The award-winning Prairie Light Review Liberal Arts Magazine at College of Du Page welcomes submissions from students and District 502 community members for its Fall publication. The deadline to submit your original Art, Photography, Poetry and Prose is Wednesday, September 22nd.

Library Cafe Now Open

The Café in the College of Du Page Library has reopened for the fall. Hot and cold beverages, including smoothies, and other snacks are available. There’s also internet access through the College’s wireless network, as well as wired computer workstations, and all the other resources the Library has to offer to students and community members. Café hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am until 9 pm and Fridays from 7:30 am until 3 pm.

Registration at COD

It’s not too late to register for Fall classes at College of Du Page where many flexible options are available for those interested in an Associate’s degree, transfer degree, or professional certificate. Classes are offered on the main campus in Glen Ellyn, and also at many other sites around District 505, including regional centers in Addison, Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, Naperville, West Chicago, and Westmont.

Students can be instantly connected to email, Blackboard, My Access, grades, transcripts, and news about the College at the Inside-COD Portal, which uses the student’s current My Access login, avoiding the need for a separate sign-in. Gahlberg Gallery

The Gahlberg Gallery, in the MAC at College of Du Page, will feature Deborah Stratman’s Tactical Uses of a Belief the Unseen – from August 26th through October 16th. This installation examines the ecological effects of sound through aural encounters inside the gallery – including vibrations in the ground, an unannounced sonic beam, and an Aeolian Harp element. An artist’s reception – open to the public - will be held on Thursday, September 2nd from 6 until 8 pm. www.atthemac.org

MAC Lobby exhibit

The Gahlberg Gallery, in the Mc Aninch Arts Center at College of Du Page, will feature the paintings of Raychael Stine in the MAC lobby through December. These works, featuring the artist’s dogs, cover a range of emotions and concepts as a way of exploring life. An artist’s reception – open to the public - will be held on Thursday, September 2nd from 6 until 8 pm.

Math Assistance Center at COD

College of Du Page students can get help with their Math classes 7 days a week through the Math Assistance Center. The Center features course-based assistance from COD math instructors, as well as textbooks and solution manuals, software, CDs and DVDs. Appointments are NOT needed.

Reading and Writing Assistance at COD

College of Du Page will be hosting Thinkers, Writers, and Musicians – a Field Studies trip to Germany taking place May 14th through the 22nd.
