Chicago Prepares to Re-Open
The City of Chicago will move into the next phase of reopening its economy on Wednesday. The decision to ease restrictions comes as the city’s streets have witnessed both peaceful protests and vandalism. In making her announcement, Mayor Lori Lightfoot says she even heard from business owners who have suffered too much damage to reopen so soon, Lightfoot says she realizes a lot of customers will stay away until the violence stops. The city still has a nightly curfew in place. Chicago will join the rest of the state allowing hair salons and retailers to reopen along with outdoor service for bars and restaurants.
