Ban On Indoor Dining Returns In Certain Suburban Counties
Governor Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Public Health announced new restrictions on indoor dining will go into effect in DuPage, Kane, Will and Kankakee counties beginning on Friday, October 23. Those counties are seeing a 7-day rolling average test positivity rate of 8% or above for three consecutive days, which exceeds the threshold set for establishing mitigation measures under the state's Restore Illinois Resurgence Plan. Pritzker announced Tuesday that starting Friday, indoor service at bars and restaurants will be prohibited in DuPage, Kane, Will and Kankakee counties. In DuPage and Kane counties, the rolling positivity rate was 9% as of Saturday, up from 4.8% on October 3.
