April 8th, 2018

On this edition of The Arts Section, host Gary Zidek visits the Chicago History Museum to get an up-close look at its new Chicago Blues exhibition. Gary talks to the museum's head curator, Joy Bivins, about the history of Blues music and the development of the new exhibit.  Gary reviews the upcoming film, BEIRUT.  The geo-political thriller stars Jon Hamm and Rosamund Pike.  Chicago Sun-Times theater critic Catey Sullivan joins the Dueling Critics' Jonathan Abarbanel to review a new production of SWEENEY TODD.  Later in the program, Gary sits down with Chicago photographer Larry Broutman to talk about his new book CHICAGO ETERNAL.  Plus, a look at a new documentary about Golden Age film star Heddy Lamarr. All that, plus the weekly Arts Section calendar.
