WDCB's Strayhorn Centennial Celebration

We hope you’ll join is for a very special event as we present our Billy Strayhorn Centennial Celebration on Fri, November 20!  We have some special activities to celebrate Billy Strayhorn's 100th birthday at the College of DuPage, including a free screening of Billy Strayhorn: Lush Life!

Here is a complete list of the activities we have planned:

5pm to 7pm
COD Library’s “A Cathedral of Learning”
exhibit of Strayhorn’s music, work and learning resources

5pm to 7pm - SRC 2000
"Strayhorn Listening Party"
We'll get into the mood for the movie by listening to some Strayhorn tunes.  There will also be complimentary beverages – coffee & water – and cookies too!

7pm to 10pm - SRC 2000
Billy Strayhorn: Lush Life – Movie screening and discussion
Emmy and Peabody Award-Winning documentary, followed by discussion with filmmaker Robert Levi
