Corbin Andrick Sextet
It all started on the Northside of Chicago in 2010. Corbin Andrick’s sextet has been quietly putting together a vast amount of instrumental music featuring Andrick on saxophone, trumpeter Marquis Hill, guitarist Daniel Bruce, pianist Brad MacDonald, bassist/vocalist Katie Ernst, and drummer David Agee.

Running for over two years now, this group performs weekly at Lilly’s in Lincoln Park. In this time, the musicians created a unique sound driven by beautiful blend, exciting solos, and delicate listening. All of the music was written specifically to show off the talents of each member of the group and the chemistry is unmatched by other ensembles of this size. Each song has a specific vibe that is constantly changing as the music evolves.

Andrick’s 2013 debut album “Accidently On Purpose” is a perfect reflection of what this group has to offer. Driven by our roots in jazz, but not shying away from the always changing world of music, this album dives into the world of soul, funk, folk, as well as the classical genre and attempts to package it all into one perfect storm of music.
