Inspired by a true story, this moving drama follows a group called the Women of Lockerbie, who are determined to turn an act of hatred into an act of love. The story begins with a couple trying to gain closure after the death of their son in the terrorist bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland. They encounter the women of Lockerbie, who want to wash the clothes of the dead and return them to the victim's families. Written in the structure of a Greek tragedy, it is a poetic drama about the triumph of love over hate. Brevoort has created a powerful reminder that air disaster victims include more than the people who fall from the sky — there are also the people who miss them and the people who find them.
