On this edition of The Arts Section, host Gary Zidek sits down with the curator behind a new exhibit at the Block Museum of Art that sheds light on the ways art has influenced anti-racial violence in this country. The Dueling Critics, Kerry Reid and Jonathan Abarbanel, join Gary to review a new musical that’s all about the Blues. Later in the show, Gary catches up with the author of a new book that dives into the history of Chicago bakeries. And we’ll check in with a Chicago-based Joyce Award winner who has some ambitious plans to create new theater works.
