Happy Holidays! On this edition of The Arts Section, host Gary Zidek talks to filmmaker Eugene Ashe about his new jazz-tinged movie SYLVIE’S LOVE (which is set to premiere this week). The Dueling Critics, Kerry Reid and Jonathan Abarbanel, will join me to discuss Steppenwolf Theatre’s latest virtual offering. Later in the program, Gary chats with Donny Hathaway’s youngest daughter, Donnita Hathaway, about her non-profit and the legacy of her dad’s famous holiday song, THIS CHRISTMAS. Gary also catches up with the owner of a local independent book store to learn what books might make for a great last minute gift. And, we’ve got some great Christmas music from the very talented Isabella Isherwood and her trio that we’ll playing throughout the program.
