The Arts Section 09/23/18

On this edition of The Arts Section, host Gary Zidek takes a closer look at a unique collaboration involving Hubbard Street Dance, Grammy-winning Third Coast Percussion and Blood Orange. Gary was able to sit in one of the rehearsals for the world premiere program. Gary also has a story on the announcement that 2019 will be the Year of Chicago Theatre. The Dueling Critics, Kelly Kleiman and Jonathan Abarbanel, stop by to review Shattered Globe Theatre’s production of CRIME AND PUNISHMENT. A little later, Gary sits down with EXPO Chicago director of programming Stephanie Cristello. The annual exposition kicks off on Friday 9/28, and features a variety of programming designed to engage people. And Gary closes out this week’s program with a look at the new public art platform, Art on the Mart.
